Commissioner of International Relations and City Promotion of Barcelona City Council
Biography
He previously held the position of Commissioner of Economic Promotion of Barcelona City Council, responsible for economic promotion and branding of Barcelona, from September 2021 to June 2023.

Extensive experience in the institutional and corporate affairs, holding key positions such as Director of Global Relations for Digital Future Society at the Mobile World Capital Barcelona Foundation, General Director for Panama and Cuba at Llorente & Cuenca, a consultancy specializing in Communication, Reputation and Public Affairs. He also served as General Director of the Magtel Group in Morocco and the MENA region, and as an Executive Advisor of the Secretary of State for the EU of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Spain. Furthermore, he worked as technical advisor at the European Parliament. 

He holds a Master’s in Business Administration and completed undergraduate studies in Political Science. As an author of books and publications, his works include “The Republic of Reputation: Economy, Power and Emotions” (2019) and “The Energy of the Small: Democracy, Technology and Territory” (2012). The latter was awarded First Prize in the category of “European Union and green growth” in the 2012 European Blog Contest organized by the Danish Presidency of the European Union.
