SIGU Platform for Social Innovation and Public-Benefit-Oriented Enterprises

Markus Sauerhammer is a German social innovation and ecosystem expert. After starting his career in agriculture, he founded his own startup and supported afterwords more than 1,500 founders at the Chamber of Commerce in Munich. After this he developed partnership and co-funding models at Startnext, Germany’s leading crowdfunding platform for creative and impact ventures. As co-founder and former board member of the Social Entrepreneurship Network Germany (SEND), he helped improve political framework conditions for mission-driven enterprises. Today, he works at the Platform for Social Innovation and Public Benefit Enterprises (SIGU-Plattform) on further developing the support ecosystem and improving the interaction between practice, administration, and politics.
