Jacek JAŚKOWIAK

Mayor of the City of Poznań since 2014, social and sports activist and former entrepreneur.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Poznań, completed postgraduate studies in accounting, finance and taxes. He was a GFPS scholarship holder at the University of Bielefeld in Germany.

As the Mayor, he puts a lot of effort into making Poznań the best place to live for its residents. He prioritises the safety of the city by enhancing civil protection and improving the work of public services. Another focus is the development of tram infrastructure and the environmentally friendly rolling stock. Now, Poznań has one of the best public transport systems in Poland. Mr Jaśkowiak also concentrates on blue-green infrastructure within the urban landscape as well as on improving the retention capacity of the city. 

The fast-paced development of Poznań has been appreciated by both its residents and experts.
