Annabelle GASTAL

Annabelle Gastal is a Senior Investment Guarantee Officer at the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) which houses the World Bank Group guarantee platform. The platform brings together guarantee products and experts from across the International Finance Corporation (IFC), MIGA, and the World Bank. MIGA’s comprehensive suite of guarantees is designed to mitigate risks associated with public and private sector investments in emerging markets. 

Annabelle has been with MIGA since 2014 and has extensive work experience in underwriting energy, infrastructure, and capital markets projects. She plays a key role in originating business opportunities in Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Western Balkans. She is based in MIGA’s Paris regional hub.

Prior to joining MIGA, Annabelle worked with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the French Treasury, BNP Paribas Asset Management, and UNEP Finance Initiative. She holds Master’s degrees from NEOMA Business School, Columbia University, and SciencesPo Paris. She passed level II of the CFA certification. She speaks English, French, Russian, and Spanish
