Berlin University of Applied Sciences (Berliner Hochschule für Technik)

Yasmin Olteanu is a Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences and Technology (BHT), where she directs the Bachelor program in Digital Business. Her work centers on sustainable and impact entrepreneurship, especially how young ventures design, govern, and measure social and environmental outcomes from day one. She is a long-standing co-author of the Green Startup Report, Germany’s largest annual study on the green startup ecosystem. Currently, she is developing a practitioner-oriented handbook on impact management and advancing research on impact-tech startups, systemic effects beyond the IOOI model, and innovative financing mechanisms for biodiversity. In teaching, Yasmin designs interactive, evidence-based learning experiences that combine clear frameworks with real cases, preparing students to lead resilient, mission-driven companies. She regularly advises ecosystems, public actors, and organizations on impact assessment, venture strategy, and enabling conditions for green and social innovation and speaks at conferences and panels on impact measurement, sustainable business models, and the future of social innovation, aiming to translate complex insights into practical tools for founders and policymakers alike.
